About Me:

Heya! My name is Chimeldé and I am from South Africa. My first language is Afrikaans but I have been living in New Zealand since 2014. I have been with Cael since 2020. When I am not at church you will find me taking photos of God's beautiful creations. I also work as a counsellor within a school and have a passion for working with young people.

What I enjoy about my role:

I have the opportunity to work alongside Jordan and help coordinate all things youth. I love connecting with our youth/intermediates and their families. 

Favourite scripture or story: 

My favourite scripture is Joshua 1:9. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

What I love about GSB:

I love, love, love the culture and people. GSB has the family feel that makes everyone feel seen and welcome. It is a place that I can call my home away from home.
